Born in Iran and arriving in Los Angeles as a teenage refugee, Silva overcame systemic barriers to become the first Iranian Armenian-American television journalist in the United States. Silva built an illustrious journalism career spanning over two decades, she reported for CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX affiliates, covering historic events from 9/11 and multiple presidential elections to global conflicts and natural disasters.
As an award-winning documentarian and producer, she has earned recognition for projects including the Telly Award winning documentary on the 44-Day War in Armenia and the Communication Award-winning web-series An Entrepreneur's Journey.
Today, Silva leverages her storytelling expertise to help organizations, leaders, and initiatives communicate with impact, build trusted brands, and amplify diverse voices through marketing, media production, speaking, and independent journalism.
